Catherine Bennett joined the Institute’s Governmental Training, Education, and Development division in 2005. She teaches courses in management and leadership development, performance management, and human resources management. She facilitates planning retreats and leads diversity training. Her areas of specialty also include managing customer service, visioning, and governmental ethics.

Prior to joining the Institute, Ms. Bennett spent more than 20 years teaching and training adults in higher education and state and local government. She also owned her own speaking and consulting business, which focused on conflict management.

Ms. Bennett holds a Master's degree in Education and a certificate in Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Human Resource Certification Institute.
