Matt Hauer joined the Vinson Institute’s Applied Demography Program in July 2009. He is involved with the production of population projections and forecasts and provides technical training to state and local officials.

He has worked with Florida State University, the Atlanta Regional Commission, and most recently, the US Census Bureau as a statistician and in field operations. Mr. Hauer has a Master of Science in Demography degree from Florida State University. His work focuses primarily on changing mortality patterns, aging, formal demography, and population estimates and forecasts.
