Dr. McWilliams provides technical assistance, applied research, and policy analysis for state government clients. Previously, she helped coordinate the programs and the research agenda of the Child & Family Policy Initiative, with a particular focus on leveraging higher education resources to further those programs and the research agenda.

She also helped to develop and administer the Public Service and Outreach Leadership Academy for the Office of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach and spent six years with CVIOG's Governmental Training, Education, and Development Division, delivering and administering statewide leadership programs. She has a Ph.D. in higher education administration from the University of Georgia.
