Since 2001, the Peach State Poll has been giving citizens a voice in the policy arena of our state. Respondents for this periodic telephone survey are selected at random and asked questions about current issues. Once that data is captured, it is evaluated and distributed in a form that is useful for policy decisions. Recent questions have addressed satisfaction with health care services, eliminating poverty, immigration policies, dissatisfaction with the federal government, the state of the economy, and quality of education in the state.

Apart from elections, public opinion research today is a primary means of including citizens in policy debates and evaluating government performance. The Peach State Poll thereby extends the Institute's mission of helping promote better governments and communities.

The Peach State Poll is a member of the National Network of State Polls. Data collected from each poll is distributed in a series of news releases, reports, and data tables.
