State employees can take their knowledge and leadership skills to the next level through the Institute's many state training programs, from professional development programs that cover a broad array of financial, legislative, and special topics, to certification programs in leadership and management.

Department of Labor—EXCEL Leadership Program

First-time leaders and supervisors are prepared to assume middle-management roles in the Department of Labor through this training program. In four three-day sessions, participants cover a variety of topics, including multirater feedback, conflict management, and organizational effectiveness.
